Our Christian faith is a journey. It is our journey with God on Earth. Jesus died so we may have that relationship with Father God. Further, He died so we can have an intimate relationship with the Father. For what Jesus has done, we have an abundant, victorious life on the Earth, if we choose to.
Jesus set us free from sin. When He left us, He said He would send the comforter, the Holy Spirit, who would lead and guide us in all truth. Therefore, it represents the character of Jesus. Moreover, this is where our abundant, victorious life is. We experience the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22 -23). We live in the Spirit because of what Jesus provided for us… It is a beautiful thing!
Now contrary to the Fruit of the Spirit is fruit of the flesh. Galatians 5:19 – 21 tells us about the fruit of the flesh. It is all about us. It is selfish and shallow. Destruction is its goal. Satan sends the many traps, pitfalls, and distractions to sink us. Ultimately, it kills, steals and destroys ( John: 10).
The question is, who is in charge of our life? What fruit is consistently manifesting in our lives? Who is our source? It is an indication of who is in charge. The Bible instructs Christians to crucify the flesh and to walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16 -25). Again, who is in charge? Love & Blessings!
