We love Jesus. Without Him we would be LOST! He gave us His all. As a result, we have eternal life because of Him. Moreover, we have an abundant, victorious life on the earth when we choose Him!
In Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus talks about the narrow and wide road. I believe when we read the words of Jesus in the Bible, everyone needs to stop and pay attention. Jesus never wasted His words. His words were significant.
Therefore, when Jesus was describing the narrow and wide road, He was describing our eternal destination. The narrow road is described as a humbling road. We deny self and selfishness. It is less popular and few find it, according to Jesus. Conversely, the wide road is described as popular and an easy road. Further, this road relies on self. It seeks self satisfaction.
Upon further description, Jesus talks about our eternal destination with both roads. Although many do not realize it at the time, the wide road is really destroying people. It is self destruction. Because people do not rely on God, they destroy themselves. The narrow road seeks God. It leads to the supernatural fruit God offers us to live our lives beautifully on the earth. This road ends with eternal life with Him after seeking Him with their whole heart.
Jesus did not mix words when He talked. The beauty about being a Christian is we get to choose. We choose the road we want to follow. Therefore, we choose the lifestyle we want to live. Will we choose the narrow road or the wide? The choice is ours. Amen. Love & Blessings!
