Where Is God Now Ministries, Inc, is partnering with Highmark Residential Communities to have a food drive for residents at Woodbridge Apartments, 717 Hunters Bridge Drive in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake. This food drive will help with our pop-up food pantry for Woodbridge Apartments on Friday, August 21.
Inflation is up. Gas and oil prices are skyrocketing. Grocery prices are up including beef, poultry and fresh fruits and vegetables. Further, shelf-stable goods are up, too. Where Is God Now Ministries believe we can help ease some of the burden by bringing food to them. This will take some stress off of transportation of going to the store and making purchases for food.
We can collect refrigerated and nonperishable foods. So we can collect eggs, milk, fruits, vegetables as well as can goods, pasta, rice, can meats, cereals and more. Non-food items are being collected, too! Toilet tissue, paper towels, toothpaste, deodorant, and anything else needed to survive in a household. Your monetary donations make a difference, too!
Our collection dates for this food drive are Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16. Send me an email to come and pick up your items for one of these dates. Of course, if you want to drop your items off at my garage door you are welcome to do so. Your financial donation is tax deductible! Just go to the “Donate” on www.whereisgodnow.org to help.
Jesus taught in His parable when you help the least of these you have done it unto Him (Matthew 25:40). This is a call for us to help and to be proactive in our efforts! WE are the hands, mouth and feet of Jesus on the Earth. We reflect Jesus through the Holy Spirit when we help others. It is humbling knowing that Jesus is working through US!… Amen.
