We Simply Can Not Thank God Enough For His Goodness!

Every day is a day of thanksgiving! God has been good to each of us whether we realize it or not. He has kept us from danger, seen and unseen (Psalm 91: 3-7). He has made our crooked places straight (Isaiah 45:2). He has promised never to leave us (Deuteronomy 31:6). These are just some of the things that represent God’s goodness.

Satan does not want us to remember God’s goodness in our lives. First, he tries daily to strip those memories from our lives. Next, he wants us to focus on the negative things that have happened to us. We have to realize those thoughts and memories are not of God. Those are memories we must not dwell on, but cast away (1 Peter 5:7).

So as we live our lives we should be focused on the goodness of God. The Bible says we should praise God from sun up to sun down (Psalm 113:3). One of the ways we do this is to focus on God’s goodness.

There will be times in our lives that bad things will happen. If Jesus suffered, surely we will face some suffering in our lives. Moreover, we will share in Jesus’ sufferings and His glory (Romans 8:17-18). Even so, as Christians, Jesus gives us a supernatural power. Furthermore, it helps us to endure our trials and tribulations. We have peace, love, joy and the rest of the Fruit of the Spirit!

The mere fact that we have Christ in our lives as Lord and Savior is something for us to be thankful for. God draws us near to the cross to accept His son. We should be thankful that we accepted that drawing as some have rejected it. The Bible says they will be lost to eternal damnation (Matthew 25:46)

Our eternal security with God is something to be thankful for. However, our relationship with God goes deeper than that. As a result of Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have been set free. We have been given abundant victorious life on the Earth. Therefore, no more chains and bondage hold us. Instead, we have the Holy Spirit who leads and guides us each and every day. We have an intimate relationship with our Father God. These things and more represent the goodness of God… Happy Thanksgiving! Love & Blessings!
