Restoration of Voting Rights, Part 2!

On behalf of our justice-involved individuals, Where Is God Now Ministries would like to thank you for your prayers on Martin Luther King Day of Service. The Bible says prayer has great power as it is working (James 5:16). It is not to be taken lightly. We have the privilege to go to our Father God directly not only on our behalf, but on the behalf of others.

I do believe some of you started your prayers prior to me arriving to the General Assembly. The House passed a resolution on restoring voting rights for justice involved individuals! It now goes to the Senate. If passed there, next year it will be put before the House and Senate again. If successful, it will go to you, the people, to vote in November 2026.

We are not defined by our mistakes. Satan is the accuser. God is our redeemer. We know that God is able to turn anyone’s life around, including our justice-involved individuals. Some of you know stories that attest to this. Virginia is one of a few states where people do not automatically regain voting rights. This occurs even after they have paid their debt to society. Prayerfully, this will no longer be a hindrance to enabling them to become a part of society again.

I discovered some other good news during my visit. Governor Youngkin has actually restored some voting rights to those who have petitioned. Because this population is so transient, some of them may already have their voting rights restored and not know it. The process is tedious as the Governor’s office approves them on a case by case basis. With automatic restoration, you can eliminate the process of applying. You can avoid tracking folks down. People will no longer be unaware their rights have been restored.

Lastly, I only did a few pictures, as the day was truly “high energy.” People were everywhere. Elevators were packed going up and down the many floors of the General Assembly. Here is a link to a short picture gallery…

It was a privilege to speak on behalf of the justice-involved individuals. We are the hands, mouth, and feet of Jesus on the Earth!

Thank you for your continued love and support.

Please share with whomever…

Love & Blessings,

Gwen
