Jesus loved us so much that He gave His life on the cross. Undoubtedly, the sacrifice of ALL sacrifices. He paid it ALL. As He said on the cross, “It is finished.” (John 19:30). Then He died.
We are thankful and grateful for His sacrifice and His death. Today, He has risen! Just as He told His disciples repeatedly He would do. They did not understand it all at the time He was telling them. Explosively though, when they saw Him after his resurrection, their lives were never the same. Jesus became their Lord and Master.
After Jesus’ ascension into heaven, they dispersed all over the world to spread the gospel. They proclaimed Him as Lord and Master. They realized they were bought with the price of Jesus’ blood on the cross. Moreover, now that He is Master, they willingly followed His teachings and submitted to His authority. In the same way, we should be doing the same.
Jesus is Lord of lords. He is ruler over everything. This includes in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18). Jesus gives us access to our Father God. We have intimacy with Him because of what Jesus did on the cross. Further, we can have an abundant, victorious life on the Earth because of Jesus. He has given us eternal life! After ALL that Jesus has done for us, why would He not be our Lord and Master? Amen! Love & Blessings!
