Where Is God Now Ministries, Inc, is partnering with Chesapeake Redevelopment & Housing Authority to have a food drive for residents at MacDonald Manor. This food drive will help with our pop-up food pantry for MacDonald Manor on Friday, May 8.
People are having a tough time paying their rent. This is an indication that many of them are struggling with paying rent and keeping a roof over their heads, to putting food on the table, paying for medication and gas. Where Is God Now Ministries believe we can help ease some of the burden by bringing food to them. This will take some stress off of transportation of going to the store and making purchases for food.
We have at our disposal an industrial size refrigerator. That means we can collect refrigerated and nonperishable foods. So we can collect eggs, milk, fruits, vegetables as well as can goods, pasta, rice, can meats, cereals and more. Non-food items are being collected, too! Toilet tissue, paper towels, toothpaste, deodorant, and anything else needed to survive in a household.
Our collection dates for this food drive are Saturday, April 25 and Sunday April 26. Send me an email to come and pick up your items for one of these dates. Of course, if you want to drop your items off at my garage door you are welcome to do so.
The Bible says people in need will always be with us (Deuteronomy 15:11). This is a call for us to help and to be proactive in our efforts. WE are the hands, mouth and feet of Jesus on the Earth. We reflect Jesus through the Holy Spirit when we help others. It is humbling knowing that Jesus is working through us. Amen
