Acts 4:13 talks about the courage and boldness Peter and John had after they spent time with Jesus. In the same way, do you have a similar experience after you have spent time with Jesus? Jesus is infectious! We should strive to be like him. As a result, we should shine our lights bright so that men may see.
Jesus said in Mathews 5:16 that our light should shine. How do we shine our light? By allowing the Spirit to move us to do good works to glorify our Father in heaven. It is our main purpose on the Earth to glorify God. Further, this is what pleases the Father.
So, we should have hearts that want to please the Father. The Lord will anoint us to do His will when we open ourselves to Him. The anointing will give us the ease and desire to do the Father’s work on the Earth. This is what Jesus did while He walked the Earth. We should do the same. Love & Blessings!
Pay back should not be in the vocabulary of a Christian. God calls us to a higher calling. When someone does us wrong, in the flesh, we want to start scheming for the day or moment we can strike back. This is how Satan pulls us into his snares.
Recognizing God will fight our battles, even when we are wronged, is living in a place of peace. It is a peace that allows us to let offenses go and drop them. It is a peace that allows you to sleep at night knowing God will handle it in His own way. Any other way, will end up destroying us little by little robbing us of our peace.
We as Christians should repay evil with good. The Holy Spirit gives us the supernatural power to do this. It is the amazing power of allowing Jesus to do in us that which we cannot do on our own. We humble ourselves and always do good to all people, whether they deserve it or not. Love & Blessings!
The secret to our success in life is keeping our eyes on God. Although success can look different for each of us, God hold the secret to our success. We see this theme over and over again in the Bible. Once we take our eyes off God, it is a matter of time it leads to our downfalls.
King Uzziah loved the Lord. When he took his eyes off God it caused his destruction. He puffed himself up in pride. He forgot about God and thought it was all about him. It is definitely a cautionary tell for all of us.
God hates pride. This is because He know it destroys us in the long run. It is why He warns us over and over and over again to stay away from pride. Even a prideful or proud look is something God shuns (Proverbs 21:2). Undoubtedly, it gives Satan an opportunity to wreak havoc in our lives… Keep your eyes on God. Love & Blessings!
Psalm 71:8 declares we should be praising and honoring God throughout the day. How do you do that? How do we praise and honor God throughout the day? There are several things we can do that will bring honor to God and praise Him.
One of the ways we can honor God is include Him in our conversations. Acknowledge God for ALL that He does for YOU, which is much. As I write this post, I am waiting for my car to be inspected. The people here said you are in luck today because normally in the afternoons we are busy. I responded, “Well praise God! He is always looking out for ME!” They were able to get me in and out in no time.
Another way we can praise God and honor Him is sing songs of praise to Him throughout the day. Additionally, you can also do this by humming a tune, a song of praise, to our God. This is our way of loving on Him as He loves on us all the time.
In 2024, let God be first and foremost in words, thoughts, and deeds, throughout the day. Undoubtedly. it is a way to not only praise and honor Him throughout the day, but it keeps us in the right frame of mind of knowing where ALL of our help comes from. Amen! Love & Blessings!
I contend God speaks to us every day. Certainly, it is up to us if we are paying attention. God was speaking to Samuel in Samuel 3. Undoubtedly, Samuel had a difficult time recognizing God’s voice. Without question, this happens to us, too. God speaks to us in so many ways throughout the day. Primarily, God’s main way to speak to us is through His word, the Bible. However, He speaks through us in other ways as well.
God calls us into an intimate relationship with Him. Most importantly, Jesus died to give us that intimacy with our Father God. Again, it is up to us how intimate we want to be with God. The beauty is the more we get to know God the more we want to be close to Him.
Imagine enjoying your relationship with God like you enjoy your relationship with your best friend on earth. This is to say, this is how our relationship can be with God. We can vent, laugh, and cry with Him. He can love on us with His presence in our spirit. In turn, we can love on Him by sing songs to Him and reading Psalms of praise to Him. Sometimes, we can just sit back and be in each other’s presence in silence where we have a blessed assurance.
Exercise your listening ears in 2024. Turn up the volume in your spirit to hear Him. Have a servant heart and humbleness to welcome God’s voice. I am confident God has much to say to YOU! Love & Blessings!
In reflecting on the year in review, I like to count my blessings! Without reservation, I had phenomenal blessings in 2023. That is to say, these blessings were unexpected, but God knew they were in my future. This is the beauty of letting God order our steps and keeping our eyes on Him. What’s more, He has AMAZING things in stored for us!
Here are some highlights of the AMAZING things that happened in 2023. This year Where Is God Now Ministries, Inc. became a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Although I had been operating in missions and community outreach, I wanted God’s blessings before I officially moved into an official ministry. I asked God how I was to fund the ministry. Assuredly, He has provided the repellent in which I had no clue on how to register and label in Virginia. Unequivocally, He sent me the co-owner of P.F. Harris Manufacturing Company, who happens to be the oldest registered EPA Company in America with its root in the 1920s White House to help me. Now, the repellent is with the state awaiting approval.
The jail ministry has been an AMAZING experience watching the Holy Spirit’s presence for the 42 weeks I spent with the lady inmates. It is humbling and sometimes exciting hearing and seeing the Holy Spirit does His work. Often, I remind the ladies I am only the vessel. Unquestionably, I have no idea of ALL of their needs, but the Holy Spirit does. With certainty, He tailors what I say to them to fit their specific situation. That is a BEAUTIFUL thing.
Lastly, I could not have done any of this without YOU! Generously, you have given your time, talent, and treasure. Kindly, you have loved and supported me with your material and monetary donations and encouragement. Unitedly, together we have touched lives and changed lives for our troops, veterans, homeless, incarcerated, and people who are struggling to try to make ends meet. Thank YOU for helping the ministry to be the hands, mouth, and feet of Jesus on the Earth! YOU, in turn, are the hands, mouth, and feet of Jesus, too, on the Earth! God has already given the ministry our assignments for 2024… Stay tuned! Happy New Year!
Christmas is here! Therefore, Jesus is the reason for the season. Even today, wise men still seek him. How profound is that? Men, women, boys, and girls, are wise in the sight of God, if they continue to seek our Lord and Savior. This reminds me of what Jesus said in Matthew 7:24-29. Those who hear the Word and put it into practice are considered wise!
Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12). He is God in the flesh (Colosians 1:19). Another profound mystery to embrace God coming to earth as a baby named Jesus. Jesus is our everything!
As we celebrate Jesus’ birth and ALL that He has done for us, let us take the time to reflect what that really means. It is why we have Christmas. Amen. Love & Blessings!
For those of you who love the whimsical feel of Christmas, enjoy these pictures from the White House. Recently, we took a tour of the White House to see ALL of the Christmas decorations. Have you ever been in a situation where you thought you were right? Then later you realize you were so wrong! I personally believe God allows those situations and experiences in our lives. I believe he uses it as a teaching tool on many levels.
This teaching tool God uses is an attention getter. It is an attention getter to remind us of how utterly dependent we are on God. Pride so easily creeps in our lives especially in situations like this. Two things will happen when we realize we were wrong in a situation. We either apologize or admit our mistake. Or, prideful, we sweep it under the rug and dismiss it.
For those of us who are thirsty for God, we want to get that pride out of our lives quickly so God can continue to use us. For those who want to dismiss it, God will sometimes, figuratively, drop a boulder on us to get our attention to remove the pride… Ouch! Love & Blessings!
