Backpack & Other Bag Drive!

On behalf of the We Care Center and the men and women who visit the Center, Where Is God Now Ministries, Inc. greatly appreciates your generosity. Thank you for donating mostly brand new and gently used backpacks, totes, gym bags, and all assortments of bags. We would especially like to give a shout out to Urban League of Hampton Roads, Inc. They came along and partnered with us on this endeavor. They donated almost half of the 155 assortment of bags we collected.

Gone are the days, for now, of the guests who visit the We Care Center using paper and plastic bags to hold their belongings. They can transport their belongings with dignity as they try and find some stability in their lives.

The Bible encourages us to help others (Proverbs 14:31,19:17, Galatians 6:2). It also says we should represent Jesus on the Earth (Colossians 3:17). It is why WE are the hands, mouth, and feet of Jesus on the Earth!

Thank you for your continued love and support.

Please share with whomever…

Our nights are now COLD… Brrr! That means our homeless population is now seeking shelter indoors. Where Is God Now Ministries, Inc., is collecting backpacks, heavy string bags, totes, gym bags, overnight bags, etc. for the guest who visit the We Care Center. These guest also seek the Chesapeake Area Shelter Team known as C.A.S.T. for shelter in participating churches on a rotating basis.

C.A.S.T. has a bus that will pick up individuals, including the guest at the We Care Center to take them to the churches. We are collecting bags these individual can place on their lap as they travel to the shelters. Many times these guest only have a paper or plastic bag to put their belongings in. Therefore, these bags will serve of great use to them. Some may even use it for their pillow when they sleep.

Collection dates will be Saturday, November 2 and Sunday November 3. Please send me an email to let me know if you want me to come and pick up your bag(s). As usual, if you want to drop your bag(s) off at my garage door, that is fine, too.

We are ALL God’s people. He is our Maker and Creator. For those of us who have accepted His son, Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we are His children! We, His children, represent Jesus in our communities. Thank you for being His hands, mouth, and feet on the Earth!

Thank you for your continued love and support.
