10th Jail Ministry Graduation!

Recently, the 10th Female Nurture Block Graduation took place. This is an opportunity for the ladies to talk about how God is transforming them little by little, like all of us. They are able to recognize the grace and power of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

I often remind the ladies it is a privilege for them to have this opportunity. There is a process for them to be selected to participate. Last week one of the ladies revealed during my visit that they had applied 8 times before being selected. This brings the practicality of making the time and fellowship God has granted us a sacred time.

Although God is always present with us, we open with prayer because I want the ladies to have a reverence of who God is in our lives. I like to say we officially invite him into our meetings when we open with prayer. It also sets the tone of why we have gathered together.

Continue to pray for these ladies. They have many challenges, obstacles, and battles they face even in jail. Satan still harasses them as former graduates from the program. Some have come back to our meetings asking for prayer and sit for encouragement. I redirect them and remind them of the power they have in Christ. It is through Him that we live, move and have our being (Acts 17: 28)!

The best advice I give them and everyone else… Keep Your Eyes On God! He will get you where you need to be. It may not always look like we want it to look. It may not feel like we want it to feel. Invariably, the end result will be what we are seeking… Amen.

So as you pray for the ladies, pray they will stay focused on God. It is when we lose our focus on Him, we get lost. We are like sheep who are prone to wander. However, Jesus, our shepherd, will always come looking for His own. Thank you, Lord! Love & Blessings!
